This is a great product. I am reorganizing my storage unit and so needed some stackable storage bins with lids. The size is great. Even full I can still lift them (I am an 88 year-old woman). I did find however that the plastic lids were not quite strong enough to take a really heavy bin. But the solution was to put the really heavy ones on the very bottom. Problem solved.

The first time I ordered them was this past March and they were the same price. But I noticed today the price in 3 days has jumped to 141.99. I guess like many consumers today we feel enraged at any price hikes. But there are so many inferior clear storage containers with easily broken (and broken upon delivery) latching lids. So I feel compelled to recommend these containers for the sake of others like myself who are looking for functional clear storage containers. You sense a difference as soon as the box of containers is delivered. There is a sturdy liner box safely holding the lids. And another clever cardboard liner at the bottom. I have bought 4 sets of 6, with no broken boxes or latches. And all the packaging was cardboard which can be recycled and or reused. No waste. The storage containers are even easy for arthritic hands to open and close. OK for lifting. Good stacking. Rubbermaid still makes quality products.

What a mess was on my cat room floor when I decided to take everything out of the closet! I had ordered the shelves and had them ready to put together. It took about 10 minutes to put the shelves in the closet, then I decided oops, I'd forgotten to get storage bins. I put nearly everything up on the new shelves and waited a day for the storage bins to arrive. Then I went to work filling the bins and organizing all 6 bins on the new shelves. The shelves cost around $60 and are the IRIS USA Heavy Duty Plastic Shelves. These worked great with the bins and are the right width and depth plus height! So the whole project cost about $150 which is what a professional organizer might charge you for just ONE hour of work! Why not do it yourself and save hundreds. It only takes part of a day to do this fun project. The plastic bins are very light and hold a lot of stuff! I put packaging material, cat box wipes and cat things, seasonal towels and a Christmas magazine I keep, fitness gear and more in these bins. Really they solved all my closet problems in one go! I trust the Rubbermaid brand and I was very pleased with these! The lids open and close easily, the bins stack nicely and you can get organized in a hurry while protecting all your valuable items from dust and disorganization!
