Review: Good Product - Took A Gamble & They Work - Ordering Tips!!! - desertcart.com is the #1 retailer in the world for a reason... Awesome customer satisfaction, excellent business plan, great products, amazing prices, etc... As we all know, desertcart has expanded their business to allow 3rd parties to sell their products on desertcart's website for some time now. With this expansion, they allow 3rd party businesses to either 1) use desertcart as a storefront but the seller keeps/ships their own stock or 2) they use desertcart as a storefront AND desertcart holds the business' product in an desertcart warehouse (known as desertcart Fulfillment). As a consumer, you have to be cautious when businesses that want to sell on desertcart opt to use option #1 simply because of the fact that how they obtain their product can vary. This especially matters when you deal with products that have expiration dates. Ever been to a flea market? For those of you that have, many of you know that various merchants at flea markets can obtain their stock through closeouts, business closings, clearance, etc. And much of that stock, especially when dealing with consumables, have expiration dates that are either upcoming or already expired. In the case of batteries, we all know they have expiration dates and it's a glaring concern that when you buy things like batteries, you have to be concerned about how fresh they are and if they aren't, how much longer they will last. These batteries I purchased are available from numerous sellers (approximately 22 at the time of purchase). They range from 1 cent up to $15 for the exact same product. But a smart consumer will also follow the rule that without sufficient evidence, if a price is too good to be true, then it likely is. There are many reviews on desertcart of people complaining about "bad batteries" but because multiple sellers (including desertcart) can sell the same battery... which means all the reviews are all clumped under the same product. So that "bad" review that you read probably came from someone who bought a "bad" product from a "bad" vendor. Unless that reviewer specifies who they bought it from, they aren't helping fellow desertcart customers. With that said, I ended up buying my batteries from merchant "MYBATTERYSUPPLIER" for the price of $1.77. My reasoning for choosing them is because I've used them before on desertcart *AND* their seller rating within the past year is a 99% positive rating. Their order count in the past year is approximately 35,306 orders with only 1% of those being a "negative order". All this info can be found on the merchant's details. With that kind of rating, I have that peace of mind that my batteries will likely be good and not crap/expired ones. And what I found is that my batteries are in fact good. I use them in digital timers Stanley 38425 TimerMax Digislim Daily Digital Indoor Lamp Timer, White, 2-Pack and they have so far, worked wonderfully as replacement batteries. Final Tips... #1 - Try & use desertcart or a reputable seller. #2 - If you have to go 3rd party, try & find something that is fulfilled by desertcart (trust me, it helps you 100% more because you're dealing with desertcart support and not someone from someone's basement... especially for returns). If not, then go with a seller with a positive rating (higher the better). #3 - Although price may be a determining factor, don't go so low where you question the quality of the product. If an item is 1 cent compared to other prices that are similar in range, you're probably getting a bad product. #4 - Write a review of the product and mention where you bought it from so that other desertcart customers know where to go for a better experience. I would recommend "MYBATTERYSUPPLIER" as a 3rd party merchant on desertcart.
Review: Reliability - Very reliable.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this battery the same as LR 1130 ? Is there actually 10 batteries at this price?**
A: I don't know if this battery is the same as LR 1130, but there are 10 batteries in the pack for the price. I buy all of my button batteries from Amazon now because you just can't beat the price, and the batteries have always been just as long-lasting as ones I might buy from a store.

**Q: Is this the same battery as L1154?**
A: Yeah it's in the product description Maxell Alkaline Button Cell Battery is Designed for today's watches, electronics and digital equipment provides High performance and reliability. Replaces LR44, AG13, A76, L1154, G13, V13GA.

**Q: Are these actually AG13 batteries? The packaging says LR44. I want to make sure we're not ordering the wrong ones.**
A: AG13 and LR44 are infact the same batteries. If any device uses LR44 the AG13 will be a direct replaxcement or vice-versa.

**Q: What is the shelf life of these batteries?**
A: Shelf life should be very similar to the Energizer battery of the same type. Their web site states, " Note: Manufacturer does not stamp this battery or packaging with expiration date. We guarantee battery freshness for minimum shelf life shown above." which is 4 years from purchase date. My guess is that 5 yrs is a safe bet in my opinion.

I used to buy my button batteries from Walmart or Batteries Plus. This model of battery cost me between $3.50 and $4.50 each, depending where I could find them. They weren't always available where I usually shop. I decided to check Amazon for these batteries since Amazon had almost everything else and, low and behold, here they were. Not only were they available, but I could buy ten batteries for less than what two batteries usually cost me. I use these batteries to power three different laser rifle sites. If my laser site were to go dead because of bad batteries it could be a very sticky and possibly dangerous situation. I not only have to rely on my equipment to "get the job done," but I also have to rely on the batteries that power my equipment. These batteries work fine and have lasted a bit longer than the "popular, name brand" batteries. Because of the ridiculously low price of these batteries I can order a bunch and keep enough extras on-hand at work to not only replace my batteries to to also provide batteries for my fellow officers in the event that their batteries wear out. Bottom line, these batteries work as well and a bit better than the "big name brand" batteries, they cost a whole lot less and they seem to "always" be available through Amazon, unlike the other stores where I've bought these batteries where it's hit or miss that they'll be in stock. My life and the lives of my fellow officers and civilians depend on these batteries working properly to power my laser site. I would not recommend these batteries to anyone if I didn't rely on these batteries myself. Considering the dependability, superior value, equivelent battery life and ready availability, I'll be buying these and other batteries from Amazon from now on. An additional bonus is that I won't have to drive into town for batteries anymore, saving me a bunch of money in gas. So.....if anyone can find a better battery at a better price let me know. I have a feeling that I won't be hearing from anyone any time soon.
