Maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I always struggled leveling our motorhome (25ft, 2015 LTV Unity). 😆 I ran across this device on an RV blog and immediately began investigating. It didn't take long to realize I had to have it. The box arrived quickly. Yay! I checked out the instructions and You Tube installation video and downloaded the app. Set up was easy and straightforward. I gathered the tools necessary...level, tape measure and small phillips head screwdriver and attached the device to the wall inside a closet. I then took (and wrote down) the required measurements between the tires and set out to find a level spot so I could initialize the unit. It needs to set a basis for "level", so it's necessary to level your rig or find a level spot. That was the hardest part as most all parking lots have some slope for water drainage. I finally found a level area and was good to go. We just returned from a 3 week trip, and at each campground, leveling our Motorhome was a breeze. I was able to move forward/back as necessary to adjust, and if over about 2", I would set up the leveling blocks. It is nice because it tells you how many inches each wheel is out of level (if at all). Really took time off the set up process. The cost is nothing to sneeze at, but if you can swing it...I would highly recommend this device. The unit runs off a 2032 battery and broadcasts a bluetooth signal for an hour after you turn on the app...this is to preserve the battery. EDIT: 7/14/18 - Still enjoying the LevelMate Pro Pro for ease of leveling. The thing that bothers me is the battery situation. Every trip we take after the RV has been in storage awhile...the battery is dead and I have to change it. Not overly convenient in that I installed this in a closet and 4 tiny screws have to be removed. It helps keeping the appropriate screwdriver and stock of CR2032 batteries. I believe the new models have since addressed this. Yet elsewhere it suggests keeping the slideouts in. Are the slideouts supposed to be retract?** A: Pretty simple process. Step 1) level the trailer with the slide(s) out just like you normally do. Step 2) bring the slide(s) in Step 3) install and calibrate this as level. This will be a bit off true level, however when you put the slide back out, it goes back to the point that it was level (true level) with the slide out **Q: Are you selling/shipping the 2nd generation with on/off switch? it says that you are shipping but want to be sure i am purchasing the gen2.** A: I have 1st gen and argued with their support for while about it not having an on/off switch. They made the statement that the average RV only travels once or twice a year. For those with Gen1, I would suggest what I'm going to do...1) Get a 15 cent micro switch and install it on the cover. 2) Get a 3v cell battery (not a button....the larger types you might find in a garage remote or something. With some small wires, tape, whatever you need, wire in the switch and bigger battery. Should run as well if not better than the gen 2 if you have a much higher capacity battery. **Q: Do you need to purchase The Anderson drove on blocks? Will this work okay with other leveling blocks?** A: It will work with whatever leveling blocks or jacks you have. It basically shows on a diagram what wheels need to be leveled and by how much. How you accomplish that is up to you. **Q: Interested but have a 40ft 5th wheel. where to mount for best results? and also a bit worried about bt connection from truck. will it work?** A: The best way to determine an optimal mounting location that will give you a reliable connection from the driver's seat of your tow vehicle is to test any proposed mounting location. Follow the steps below to find a good mounting location. 1. Install the battery and turn the unit on. 2. Put a piece of double-sided tape on the back of the unit and stick it to a wall where you are considering mounting it. 3. Put your tow vehicle a few feet in front of the normal towing position to create a worse case scenario relative to distance. 4. Test the connection repeatedly from the driver's set of your tow vehicle. Each connection should be tested for at least 1 minute and you need to allow 15 seconds between the time you close the app and the time you reopen it to connect. This delay will allow the phone time to properly hang up the Bluetooth connection. 5. Try multiple locations if necessary. Generally speaking, toward the front, high on the wall or in a cabinet and on the driver's side is a good place to start. I saw this and looked at the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I'm glad I did, this product is GREAT! The initial setup which is much easier with two people. After that it is simple to use. Get to our spot, turn the box on wherever it is mounted in your camper, pair your phone to it and it tells you how you need to level it side to side and front to back. Very simple for one person to do and you don't need to keep checking it at different points, its all in your hands. I would highly recommend to anyone.
