Where is the Frieling French Press made?

The pamphlet that came with the Frieling French Press has this address on it:  Frieling USA, Inc, 1920 Center Park Drive, Charlotte, NC and the web address is www.frieling.com.  I assume the press is made in the USA, but one should check the website to be sure.Later:  I visited the website myself, and found no indication of where it is manufactured.  One would have to contact the company.

I’m sorry, but this is an Amazon review section about a coffee pot, not a political message board.  Nobody cares about your political position.  Take a stand at a venue that actually welcomes your views on China.  I just put this pot in my cart.  Guess I’ll be enjoying my coffee and using my vote for my political stand.

Won't second (and later) cups be too strong if you leave coffee in this carafe after pressing (which seems to be the point of thermal)?

Absolutely correct. Brew for four minutes then immediately pour into cups, and pour any remainder into an insulated, pre-heated, airtight thermos-type container. The point of the double wall is to help keep the brewing coffee at the right brew temperature, between 195-205 degrees F. Of all the possible misunderstandings about French press brewing in double wall presses, this is this common mistake. The "thermal" design is not meant to store coffee after brewing. Brewing for more than four minutes allows brewing to continue and will soon turn bitter and over-extracted. A French press, Frieling included, is a coffee brewer only, it is not a "thermos" nor was it ever intended to be.

Question 4

Did anyone notice "scraping" sound when pushing down plunger? It seems as if the fit is too tight.  Wouldn't this eventually scratcj the interior?

When that scraping sound occurs, just pull the plunger back up and then try to push it down again.  The tight fit keeps the coffee grounds down keeping them out of the coffee. This does not appear to hurt the interior.
