I've had mine for a few months at this point and have had to do a few things to make it work for me, but I have had no problem since I bought it.To add a standard Altman-style C clamp, I had to modify the 1/2"-13 bolt so that it would fit in the bolt channel with the pictured eye nut, as the hex head was a bit too wide.To convert a 5-pin XLR to a 3-pin XLR for DMX, simply buy or make a 5-pin to 3-pin XLR adapter. There are numerous listed on Amazon, and it's just a minor inconvenience at worst for those who would use this with budget gear. Coming from a theatre background, I appreciate that it's 5-pin.Overall, a great DMX dimmer that has served me well when I've needed it.(Edit) After a few years of use, I've decided to modify another bolt to hang a theatre light from the bottom of the dimmer.
