**Q: Will this work to reoxidize just the grooves in my sterling silver place settings (Wallace Spanish Lace)?**
A: As a goldsmith I can advise you that no blackening product will stay in the groves, even if you were able to apply it to just the groves... it will bleed.  You would have to be able to use steel wool or some abrasive to remove it off all but the groves and then re-polish and buff your silver.  If your silverware is not solid silver but rather silver plate it will scratch past the plating to clean it up.

**Q: What metals does this silver black work on? Does it darken copper, Etc. ?**
A: It works well on sterling silver, copper, and nickel alloy (German Silver). I favor it over Liver of Sulphur.

**Q: Does this work on steel? Or is it specifically for only silver? Or what metals can you use this with?**
A: It says it is for silver, gold, copper, bronze. It works on gold because 14 Karat has 50% silver and other metals in it. Dilute it first and have rinse water handy to stop the blacken process as soon as you get the color you want. This will burn your skin with prolonged exposure. Use plastic or glass containers to darken metal in.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definetely works as good as I'd hoped!

I was a little leery purchasing this product as there is not a lot of published information or visual examples of the outcome especially with coin rings I want to use it with. So far I am very satisfied with how the product works and how it turns out. I have used it with full success on full silver, 90%, 40%, and all the way down to 10% coins and coin rings. I have had fairly good success with copper and brass coins and coin rings as well, but the finish is a bit more delicate than on the silver so far. That could be how I'm doing it, but still no complaints, just learning as I go. Make extra sure your metal is clean and dry, (I do a final 91% alcohol wipe down) put on some nitlrile gloves, and apply directly using a cotton swab. just wait a minute or so (depending on how dark you want) and rinse with cold-med temp water. toss the gloves and swab, and that's it. Polish the high spots or leave as it with a light cloth buff. Great stuff!
