Sphero Indi At-Home Learning Kit Screenless Coding Robot

I really like the app and the color cards. It makes coding the indi so easy and fun.

I have a 4 and 5 year old they really love this thing. I would say the very first day we opened it we got at least 3 hours of entertainment time and during that time it was something they could play with together without me needing to directly sit there and help them. Definitely promotes creative thinking and problem solving. We loved this little robot programming thing. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the little color tiles a bit sturdier (we also have a baby crawling around and several of the tiles got bent/folded (they still work, but the car can sometimes get stuck on the bent ones). Otherwise love it and I feel like they learn a lot from it, also really nice to have something non-screen that keeps them busy for a long time. Would highly recommend.

This is a really good gift for kids. It will keep them entertaining for a while. It comes with a stack of cards that are color coded that tells the car which way to go. it comes with cute little stickers that you can put on the car to make a smile have eyeballs eyelashes and nice part about it ,It's easy to use.

I’ve used Sphero Indi many times in the classroom and love the class sets, but I bought an individual one for my child for home. The robot itself is awesome for pre-readers to learn some basic algorithms and problem solving - but the quality of the color cards is not good for little ones. They get bent very easily and then don’t lay down flat for the robot to move over. I wish I had read more carefully because I would not have purchased this set.

Works fine and is fun but we returned it to get the more expensive one with the silicone cards so it lasts longer for more than just 1 kid. It's a hit.

It’s rare to find a gift that immediately captures the attention of both a 4 and 7 year old, AND inspires them to work together, AND teaches coding fundamentals (without screen time) - but Sphero has done it with Indi! The colorful cards included in the kit take the coding off of a screen and put it in the hands of kids, giving them a tangible way to build their coding skills. It’s simple enough for a 4 year old to use by herself, but the endless combinations of color cards also keep my 7 year old engaged and challenged. As an added bonus both kids also enjoyed decorating Indi with the included stickers. A++

We bought this toy because our son loves to play with toy cars and were hoping to teach him educational skills in the process. So, we bought this toy. Our son loves it and spends hours with it building progressively harder paths. He has so much fun with it and is also learning elementary programming skills in the process. I highly recommend this bot for the entertainment and educational value!

Ordered this on a Friday. It was delivered on a Sunday for a StemX camp that Monday. I taught robotics and coding to first second and third graders for the week. Started building Legos moved on to Sphero Indi then to the Sphero boltz, ended with Lego mindstorm coading on the Ev3. What a fun week! The kids absolutely loved the Indi!
