The audio interface uses very good preamps. The latency on the audio interface is also very good, at less than 3ms on my computer. I purchased this mostly for the editing options it provides within StudioOne, but having the audio interface available in a unit that is portable is also a benefit. Within a few minutes of turning this on, I found myself reaching for the ioStation instead of my mouse and keyboard. Getting it setup and running was also very easy and I was able to perform a firmware upgrade through the Universal Control software. You must also use the Universal Control software to manage the audio interface settings, which in my opinion, could be better done as it feels somewhat outdated in how it works.
