## Description

Engineers screw Zaurus M2 PZ-57Japan Import. ;

Review: Magic tool - Did its job perfectly. Removed 4 stripped screws from my Switch Lite.
Review: It actually works, infact better than a screwdriver - I had my doubts for this and had kept this in wish list for few months, before actually ordering it. One of the screws in the cooling chamber of my laptop was damaged, the screw head was all messed up. The plier is great for M2 screw sizes (laptop screws etc), it is actually not very big in size and that makes it ideal for such screw sizes. Highly recommended, changing thermal paste can give a performance boost and increase the longevity of your laptop, I guess 2.5k is worth the price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Pz-57 vs pz-55 vs pz-58 which one has smallest top jaws? i need to extract tiny screws like m1.x**
A: The PZ-55, PZ 56, and PZ-57 have both top jaws and side jaws. Their manufacturer recommended screw head diameter use is as follows:
                                  TOP SIDE
PZ-57 2-3.5mm 3-5.5mm (Note: top jaws specifically designed for M1-M2, side jaws for M2-M3 on this model)
PZ-55 3-8mm 3-10mm
PZ-56 3-10mm 5.5-14mm

PZ-58 recommended use: 3-9.5mm diameter head, M2-M4 dome head screws, M1.6-M5 round head screws.
I could not find the recommend application of the PZ-59 on the manufacturer's site, but their Amazon page says 3-15mm screw head diameter.
The PZ-32 appears designed for dome, round, or pan head screws 3-9.5mm screw head diameter.
The DBZ-60G two-piece set appears designed for Phillips-head screws only #1 and #2, sizes M2-M5.

The PZ-64, PZ-65, and PZ-66 are LOCKING pliers for removal of dome, round, and pan head screws. Their screw head diameter uses are:
PZ-64 3 to 9.5mm
PZ-65 7 to 12mm
PZ-66 3 to 5.5mm

There is also a hex (socket) head screw extractor in four sized heads, DBZ-62 through -65, covering some common socket sizes from 2mm to 5mm.

Hopefully that is sufficient information for folks who want to buy one of their screw removal tools. Most of that information is directly from the manufacturer, so it should be accurate. I feel like I should start a business to help oriental companies market stuff on Amazon and Ebay.

**Q: Can it be used on smartphone screw**
A: The head of the screw needs to stand proud of the surrounding area in order for the pliers to grasp it. This means the screw has to be already partially unscrewed (and sticking out) or it must be a non-recessed buttonhead, panhead, possibly roundhead, or other screw whose head stands proud of the surrounding area by design. I strongly suspect most smartphone screws are flatheads designed to lie flush with the surrounding area, so I doubt the pliers would work on most smartphone screws unless they are already partially unscrewed. For most stripped or frozen smartphone screws, I'm guessing this set of tools might be a smarter bet: Moody Tools 58-0670 6-Piece Slot/Phil/Screw Extractor Combo Reversible Driver Set.

**Q: How do these compare to Vampliers? Looking at the very tip of these, I'd say the Vampliers would be a little more capable.**
A: The VamPLIERS® are backed by a 4 year warranty whereas the Engineer branded ones have no warranty and do not always ship out from the U.S. resulting in longer shipping times. Those are the two biggest distinctions I'd say! Hope this helps

**Q: Where are they made?**
A: Silly goose! They're very well made and finished and I'm guessing they're of Japanese origin.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works!!!!!!!!
*by M***I on 7 December 2021*

So basically I was trying to repaste my laptop and one of the heatsink screws got stripped (size M2x3).. I tried a lot of things.. elastic band.. soldering something to it etc.. but no luck.. Then I came across this and in 30 seconds the screw was out!! I really didnt have much hopes but this worked wonders.. It is expensive, but it will do what it says..
