Worked After Contacting Support
Maybe don't expect this to work in one go. The original code I received was not able to be redeemed whatsoever, gave me a 80010 error code in game. Contacted gw2 support afterwards and gave me a new code (assuming that's what happened since the new code appeared on Amazon) and that worked fine.

Having issues with gems in game? This is a great way to bypass that!
After being unable to purchase gems instore I went looking online to see if there was another way to do this.I needed to buy a name change certificate and there was no other way to do this!After a few tries of failing to hook up Paypal and mastercard to the online lion trading shop...thingy (The actual name has left my brain right at this moment) ... I then went to Amazon.After paying the money I was given the PC code within about 3 minutes through email (You can check through email or through your Amazon account. It'll show up in both places).Can confirm I got my 2000 gems, no hassle!Thanks!!

DO NOT BUY IF LAUNCHING GAME THROUGH STEAM
Bought this for cosmetics as I couldn't find a 2k gem option in game, turns out, these codes can't be used if playing on the steam version. Wish I knew that before hand.
