Genuine Leather Expandable Credit Card Outside Id Business Card Holder Wallet 070BK

Years ago I found a wallet Ike this at Brookstone. I used it for over a decade before it started falling apart. I looked for a replacement and they no longer carried it, and I could not find anything similar at any of the ten or so Local stores I tried. A friend sent me this link on Amazon, I was skeptical at the low price but decided to give it a try. While it’s not exactly the same design as the Brookstone, it has been working well the past few months. It looks small at first but you can easily fit dozens of cards in it (why do I have so many gas cards and grocery cards and coffee cards?). The Brookstone had a filler over the ID slot which made it hard to read without removing at (a feature, I guess, but why have a window if you can’t read through it?). This one does not. This one also adds an outside slot you can put a few most used cards in. And, this cost maybe 1/10th what the Brookstone one did, so I can replace it every year I have to an come out ahead ;) No place for change, but you can easily fold cash and keep it in the pocket.

Honestly, I am reluctant to share my views on this wallet, because I want to keep the secret to myself. I just bought my third of this particular style and it is far and away better than any Ridge or fancy 'trigger' wallet that never worked for me when I tried it (yes...I bought one before going back to my tried-and-true. It was a piece of fad junk!!) The design is flawless. It is leather. It is RFID protected. It is soft to the touch. And it has pockets everywhere; front, back, inside, outside and a ID window pocket as well. I travel a lot and I can organize my vital cards into the pockets with the rest, including business cards, go in the larger pocket in the center. And don't worry. I have never had my cards all spill out onto the ground. If fits comfortably in my front pocket or in my sports coat, and I can increase or decrease the number of cards I carry at any time rather than trying to decide which 9 cards are my most critical. So skip the hype and the high dollar price tag of the other fad wallets. Get this instead.

I'm on my second one of these. I'm one of those people who carries around a million cards with them because they can't accept the fact that they will probably never use 95% of those cards ever, for anything. I have plastic credit cards, plastic ID cards, paper business cards, several identification cards, etc and so forth. There are probably twice as many cards in that wallet over and above the ones I just listed. Usually I separate the ID cards from all the rest, and I put everything else in the large pouch, with the ID cards going in the smaller pouch. Everything fits, with no undue stretching. If anything, it has extra space after I've loaded it up. Good value for the price.

Quality is decent for the price. Clearly real leather, no weird smell, just leather. Ordered 3 to put small portable paint supplies in for open air painting. They do hold quite a bit but the cover doesn’t have any closure so is stays open if it’s expanded all the way. Will probably add some Velcro or just put a rubber band around it. One had what looks like tiny burn marks on the plastic ID slot. I’m not concerned since I’m not using it as a wallet and the aesthetics aren’t super important. But the stitches are all straight and they seem like they will hold up for years with the amount of use they will get. I’m not going to have them in my back pocket or banging around in a purse so that will help with their longevity.

The item is typical of most other card wallets. Nothing outstanding about it. What seems to be an increasing problem is timely deliveries. I don't know if it's the sellers or Amazon, but more and more the delivery dates quoted are not the dates I receive them. Simply put, if you can't meet the delivery dates don't quote them. No more excuses accepted jere.
