Maxpedition Gear Sneak Universal Holster Insert with Mag Retention

The Maxpedition Gear Sneak Universal Holster is a great additional to your hiking or tactical gear. The holster is made well and constructed of quality materials. It is constructed to allow you to add it to a hook and loop surface in your bag. It could also connect outside, but for its intended use, this could possibly be an issue. The holster is easily adjustable and can be used to hold most pistols from compacts to full-size. I've found that it can serve as the holster by itself or it works by holding a firearm's existing holster. It's designed for trekking and hiking. Will it hold a firearm or anything else in place on a dune buggy, during an Australian rappel or on a white water raft? I can't say - I hike. I will say that it seems like a secure proposition for your firearm and likewise equipment for that. I like it. I like a lot of Maxpedition's equipment. That is my review.

I used this inside of a bando bag for a G19. Kept it secured and trigger guard covered. The holster seems be durable and made of quality materials.

This review is for those who choose to carry a concealed firearm off-bidy in special bags or backpacks. It's not to debate the pros or cons in the "on-body vs off-body" concealment choice. Ultimately, in today's day and age, having a legally carried concealed firearm with you in whatever manner you choose, is better than not having one at all. In the summer or hitter states where clothing is thin and light, carrying off body in a bag or backpack is a viable choice. I've used many different Velcro holsters for my backpacks and bags, and this is the best one for my needs. If you carry your pistol off body in a sling bag or backpack, this is perfect. The holster and backing is made of stiff nylon that holds the size and shape of whatever you adjust it to. It can be adjusted to any size pistol (I've used it for full sized Glock 22, sub compact Glock 27, and slimmer pistols, including the Glock 43 and the Smith & Wesson Shield). The way it holds the firearm covers the trigger completely, preventing any accidental discharges. Also, the way it is made keeps the firearm in place. If adjusted correctly, I can turn my bag over or in any orientation and the pistol won't fall out, but it can be drawn easily by pulling it straight up with the direction of the holster. Of course, just about all of the Velcro holsters are adjustable. The reason I keep choosing this one is for the extra magazine slot. It is an elastic material that fits both single stack and double stack magazines. Before this, I used to keep an exra mag but it would just be floating around the bottom of the bag. Then I tried a separate mag holder, but it took up too much room. This is a great solution. It's nice and compact, so the extra mag sits close to the firearm, using minimal space, and is ready for a quick reload if necessary, because after the pistol is drawn, the magazine is still in an upright, easy to find orientation. I have one of these for all my concealed carry bags and backpacks, and I also give them as gifts to others who carry off body. Given the price point and variety of colors, you can't go wrong.

Great quality as with all Maxpedition items. It has a very wide adjustment option, with high-quality Velcro. However, the placement of the mag retention loop doesn't work very well if you have an optic on your weapon. The placement impairs the ability to safely unholster. I tried to adjust it, trying it with the retention loop on the top, then the bottom side of the holster, it made no difference. This item fits perfectly inside of an Eberlestock Bando bag.

Great American company selling great products. The rear compartment for is the perfect size for my S&W Shield 45 and Similar sized guns. You will need a universal loop holster with velcro mount, the one that is provided is cheap and inadequate, the bags only flaw. The middle compartment holds my iPhone 17 ProMax with an Otterbox case perfectly. The front compartment holds keys and similar items. I am primarily using it for biking on the trails here in Florida where packs add to the heat. I was noticing spider webs in my Jeep? On my early morning, day break rides, I was hitting all the overnight spider webs and my pack and helmet were giving them a place to land and hide. I'd get back to the parking lot and beat my helmet on the picnic table. Small crab spiders and others would come off and go running everywhere. Then I'd dig some out of my Camelbak pockets. I went to a ball cap and this pack after that. All nonpoisonous and harmless of course.

This one is thick, reinforced, double stitched, strong as hell. They didn't skimp on the velcro quality, and the material itself is very thick. The other similar straps I've found on the site are thin, weak, flimsy. This is not, name brand directly on the front because they are proud of the product. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to secure their protection without becoming anything other than a gray man.

The basic design is sturdy; materials good quality. I like how stiff it is, too. It provides retention of my full-size M&P 2.0 9mm with optic. While the extra magazine holder is a good idea, it's unusable with an optic. I cannot arrange an extra magazine in a way that would fit: When holstering my M&P in a fanny pack, the optic hits the magazine's base plate. I paid for materials and manufacturing processes I can't use.

Leggero nonostante sia costruito in cordura 1000 denari. È regolabile quindi si adatta a diverse tipologie di oggetti. L' unico difetto è che ha un solo elastico, ne avrei preferito due in modo da portare due oggetti. Complimenti ad Amazon per la gestione della spedizione. Arrivato due giorni in anticipo nonostante le feste pasquali.

Leider eine schwere Enttäuschung! Das ist kein Holster für Waffen! Das magazin einer 1911er rutscht leicht durch und man kann es am gürtel NICHT befestigen obwohl in der Beschreibung hinten Schlaufen wären! NICHTS ist da ausser einer Klettfläche!!! Auch wenn in der Beschreibung und den Bildern Waffen abgebildet sind rutschen die Waffen beim sitzen oder einer schnellen Bewegung einfach raus da auch keine Sicherung vorhanden ist! Leider Müll!!

As described and works well in my 5.11 shoulder bag. Obviously not a true “holster) but secures the firearm from moving around.
