Derma E Vitamin C Weightless Moisturizer SPF 45, Brightening, 2 Fl Oz

This is actually the best and the most simple sunscreen and skincare in one. They always improve my skin tone and evenness as it’s full of zinc (same ingredient in diaper rash cream, which, if you know the skincare hack of some dermatologists online they leave diaper rash creams slathered on their faces overnight). This & some blush and mascara and I’m out the door most days. They do leave a white cast which is why I mix some drops of Drunk Elephant liquid bronzer. But I also apply them on my neck where I don’t want the color on (for it to transfer onto my white T-shirts etc.) so this works best, where I can adjust the bronzer vs this sunscreen. The price is also great and not overpriced like many others on the market. I’m never putting chemical sunscreens anywhere on my body for I like not having cancers and not having my hormones all whacked out of balance

I want to preface by saying that I LOVE Derma E products, and I definitely read instructions and reviews so I did in fact shake the bottle. My entire skincare routine consists of Derma E with the exception of my moisturizer. When I finished the product I’m currently using, I was excited to switch to this product as it has a higher SPF and I really stand by this brand. This moisturizer, however, is not for me. The bottle arrived broken which was fine, so I tried to continue using it. I have dry skin which tended to get flaky in the winter. This moisturizer showed every bit of dryness, leaving my face looking white and flaky. It had absolutely no moisturizing properties in my personal opinion. If you have hydrated skin this product may work for you, but those with dryness and texture like myself should probably proceed with caution before purchasing.

It's a bit thick and leaves a little white residue that eventually disappears, but it's highly effective as a sunscreen, does not irritate, and I think it leaves my face in better condition than before I was using it. You need to remember to shake the container as there is a mixing ball inside that keeps the elements homogenous. Best I have used to date.

I have read the other reviews here about this moisturizer, leaving a “white cast”. What some customers don’t understand is there is a ball inside of the product that will shake the product before you use it like a paint can ! That makes all the difference in the world. This is a fantastic product. I have been using it for a few years now! Not only am I a retired medical aesthetician, but I’m also an owner of three horses/equestrian and my skin is exposed to the sun more than most average users of this product. I have tried many SPF moisturizers, and not only is the consistency of this product, nourishing and moisturizing, especially for those in drier climates, but it truly does protect! Probably one of the best moisturizers on the market but DON’T FORGET TO SHAKE IT!

Not lightweight as specified

I am a caramel brown African American woman and quickly learned this is not for darker skin tones. When I put this on my face, it turned white and was very dry. It was almost as if I put chalk mixed with a drop of water on my skin. No matter what I did, I could not cover up the mess I had made. It made my skin dry even after adding their oil. Finally, I wet my face and put cocoa butter on it to remove the pasty white residue. The makers of this particular product need to specify that it is not for all skin hues. Already started a return.

This is the best not sticky spf moisturizer. Instantly adds shine and smooth texture to my skin. Does not irritate my eyes
