This is the only reason I have not purchased.** A: Update on my review: I attached this on 11/30/20. Today is 3/19/21 and it’s still sticking to the back of our iMac. The important piece of information is this: make sure you press in on the suction cup before you use the lever to ‘lock’ it in. (There was a typo in my earlier review, it should have been dated 1/14). **Q: Does it work while charging?** A: Yes it does! It comes with a charging cable and adapter for computers **Q: Does this come with the softening diffuser?** A: I am interested in this bundle, however it does not include the diffuser. The diffuser is not even available by itself in their website. I wish they add the diffuser in this bundle. **Q: The legs on the stand do not lock in place. Is that a defect or does the unconventional screw head at bottom of stand require tightening?** A: The legs fold down and indeed do lock. Check it again. I thought mine was broken too until I figured that out. Open the tripod legs so that the LumeCube painted label is facing to the inside, turn the ring at the top clockwise until it tightens (its easy to literally “spin it”, at first). That ring locks the legs in place. Next screw on the extendable pole followed by the light. I like to use it on the little tripod/stand, cause it allows me to find the perfect angle (meaning: my glasses don't glow as much on the video). I can charge it using the USB port of my computer. As some have mentioned before, the device gets a bit hot. But I haven't had any serious problems (yet). I would definitely recommend watching the product video Amazon has posted here!, it's a very nice introduction and anserwed many of my questions. Dislikes: The price. EUR 139 really is on the higher range.
