I must admit that I did not fully understand what I was buying. I thought this was a remote bluetooth source for a whole home audio system, meaning, I could install this in one part of the house, and connect it via cat 5 cable to a base. Turns out, this is not how it is designed. I thought there were 2 devices, one, the receiver, and the other, the base, and they would connect together using cat 5 (I was mistaken). Turns out, there is only 1 device, showing the front that the back. Anyway, they way they have designed this is that it needs to be fairly close to a 110v source to power it. This would not work for my application, as I wanted to install it in a location where this would look sort of ugly. I decided to MOD it. I located the transformer next to my amp (in the basement), and cut off the low voltage plug. I had cat 5 running between the amp location and where I wanted the device. I used 2 of the cat 5 wires to supply the low voltage power to the device, and used 2 twisted pairs to return the audio signal from the device to the amp. I really thought it would not work, and if it did, I was expecting a lot of quality loss, but to my surprise, it worked like a charm. Not sure how long it will last, but for now, I'm happy.

Does not work and the plastic frame needed to be modified to fit smoothly with the standard cover plate I used.…….

Worked great with an android phone. Would not work with iPhone8, iPhone10s, or iPhone11ProMax. Useless.

Have not yet installed or used product yet, but the bluetooth wallplate looks like a good quality well made product. I'll update review once installed and using the item!

Useless without an external amplifier. Barely plays sounds.
