SL3-HO Fire Starter Hunter Orange

These are excellent for one handed fire starting should one need to do so. The sparker works great and the tinder ignites very easily once it is fluffed out to expose the fibers.

Compact and easy to use. I love these tiny lil’ sparklers. I did have one bind up on me but I worked with it and it works fine again. So now I not only carry this, I also carry a mini Bic, tiny ferro rod with striker with a couple of tinder quicks and a flat pack of UCO storm matches. All of these fit into a tiny clear baggie for an extremely lightweight and comfortable fire kit.

Remember it’s best to have 3 ways to start a fire. This little kit is a perfect backup to your lighter and storm matches. It only weighs 20 grams. I got it in orange much easier to find if you (or should I say when) you drop it into the underbrush! I strongly recommend you get at least 1.

Great little contained fire starter to put in your vehicle or go bag.

It's a good product. With my old hands, it was not easy to use the striker with one hand, however I was able to do it. My wife and I lit several different types of starter materials with good effect. Easy to learn to operate and a good shower of sparks.

I've not tried the tinder included but the striker throws out a lot spark. One might think it would be the same as a broken cigarette lighter but it is not. This really throws out the sparks.

The Kit is complete and functions as stated, BUT; The case itself is designed poorly and will not stay shut. YOU MUST, seal the lid closed to not only keep the kit complete but dry as well. Placed in any back pack, pocket, or fanny pack and putting slightest pressure on any case will cause the lid to pop open. This did it for ALL THREE that I purchased. Seal it with Black Electricians Tape or use Duck Tape. Fold over a little tab on the tape so that you can pull it off with wet/cold/frozen fingers.
