B&M Brown Bread, Raisin, 16 Ounce

wow what a surprise, who would have thought that bread in a can would be good but it is very good and even better when sliced and put in a microwave for maybe 30 seconds and then slap some butter on it. It has the consistency of pound cake so it will fill you up if you eat 2 pieces and each piece is like half inch thick. It has a molasses taste to it so if you don't like molasses you may want to pass on this, the molasses sweetens it nicely. It is good out of the can but once warmed and buttered it levels up significantly. I would buy this again and stock it up for emergencies after all Winter will be here soon. You never know when you may not be able to get to the store. Be prepared and have a well-stocked pantry.

August 2026: I tried the bread. Open both ends and push to get it out. A very small amount adhered to the side of the can, making the initial push a little harder. It's decent. Sort of cake like, without frosting. Moist. Slightly sweet. OK with butter, ok with peanut butter. I doubt I'll eat this in day to day life because I'm not big on brown bread or raisin bread, but I'll order several cans for emergencies and be glad to have them. The Best By date is April 2028, so a decent shelf life, and when it Best By date gets near I'll eat them.

A good deep molasses flavor w/rasins throughout...A slightly bitter/sweet taste that is great either toasted or for 30seconds in the microwave..top it with butter or cream cheese.

Know that this very dry and nearly tasteless bread which seems glued inside the can is non refundable , so don't order it. I can't even give it one star, but I have to or this review won't show. This was the worst single item I have ever ordered via Amazon. They should just drop the product.

Doesn’t taste like raisin bread .. or can’t get out of can … won’t buy again

Recently, in a conversation with my wife, I told her about having Boston Brown Bread as a kid, which I enjoyed. Then, on a whim, I checked to see if Amazon had this in stock. The do have it, and I ordered it. We took it out of the can, sliced it, put cream cheese on a slice and absolutely enjoyed it. I am delighted to rediscover a childhood favorite.

We were surprised how moist and delicious this is, a darker bread, like pumpernickel, but lightly sweet like a dense bran muffin with a nice polasses taste. We enjoyed it plain, with butter, toasted with cream cheese and a bit of jam. Great for camping or prepping.

do not buy, this is not as advertised, 12 x 16oz should mean 12 16oz cans but nope this was 116 oz can for 36$ not worth is do not buy
