When I ran out of material, I mixed more, doing it in this fashion to ensure that the product didn't begin to harden before application. Application was simple, and it was easy to smooth the material into place and ensure a tight seal with just my finger. I sealed all 10 seams with one set of the product. I checked the seams after an hour, and every seam still looked perfect and the product was literally as hard as a rock. Time will tell if the product holds up as promised, but I see no reason why it should not. Using this product was actually far easier and less expensive than using Vulkem Seal or a traditional caulking product, and was easier and neater to apply. Most leak in my pool occur around the plastic inlet fittings. It adheres well to the plastic and the concrete. The minimum depth and thickness must be 1/8”, 1/4” or greater is preferable. Conventional grout may be the better, longer term solution for tile repairs **Q: Will this work on vinyl pools?** A: Vinyl pools? As in: A large inflatable type pool? I wish I could tell you that it does. I honestly do not know. But this epoxy works best on hard, non-flexible surfaces, ie. wood, concrete, fiberglass, metal, etc. You might want to look into Phil Swift's FLEX SEAL product line. He has a host of waterproofing products. Apparently, the super adhesive flex tape kicks butt & holds out/or in, water. But I'd strongly recommend you talk to one of their service reps first. I tinted this putty with epoxy resin pigment to match the tiles and filled the cracks. It worked really well. To tweak the look, (before the putty fully cured) I used the resin tint to "paint" the pattern of the tile, and the putty still absorbed it well. After curing it looked great, and it holds up.
