It is a great low profile knife, sits in my front pocket without printing or getting in the way like many knives I have owned. I may try the original version as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Work of Art *by W***T on January 2, 2018* There is a reason this knife has been around for 150 years. It is a work of art. It's not fast, it's not tactical, and there are no bells and whistles. It is, however, a shaving sharp, practical work horse of a knife. This is my first carbon steel blade pocket knife and I am a convert. I don't think I'll look at stainless the same way, no matter how good it is. The carbon steel will need a little more love, in terms of keeping the blade oiled to prevent rust. Overall, that is a small price to pay for a FAR superior performing steel. There is something to be aware of if you purchase this knife - there is a light layer of clear coat over the brass handle. I personally want the handle to patina with use, so I took a rag with some acetone on it and removed the clear coat. I am not a fan of forcing patina, I feel the piece should earn it.
