The premier cedar feeder is able to withstand daily usage and provides practical features that birds will love. Feeding stations on both sides offer seed to a large number of birds at one time. This natural looking feeder is constructed of re-forested, kiln dried, inland red cedar with zinc chromate screws for long lasting durability. The anodized aluminum roof hinge opens easily and shuts securely and the perforated screen bottom removes for cleaning. Handcrafted in the USA. Review: great craftsmanship - I love my new bird feeder. it is well constructed and will withstand the harsh winters we get in Ohio. It is large and holds a lot of bird seed. It is a little narrower than my other one at the bottom where the seeds come out and I do get fat squirells to feed but I hope they will adjust alright. Plenty big enough for birds to feed. I did put a cedar stain on my to match the pole and my deck and looks awesome. I am pleased with my purchase and is worth the money in my opinion. Review: The Birds love it! - Good quality. I had to add boards at the bottom and paint it for better curb appeal.

Lots of issues including cheap balsa wood.
This bird feeder is not well built, at least the lid. Screws are missing and the screws are not screwed in all the way. So the lid is loose and seems flimsy. Yes the wood in kiln dried 7/8 but what they don't say is its balsa wood, very cheap. Balsa will never hold up with a lot of rain, snow and bad weather we have in Canada. The other complaint is that the product card was stuck to one of the plastic windows and the glue will not come off even after using muriatic acid which removes everything. You can scrape it off with a knife but it will scratch the plastic. I'm returning it.

GREAT STURDY FEEDER
I'm really impressed with this feeder. Recently my oldest feeder went into a state of disrepair. It was my grandmother's and I had patched it up numerous times for sentimental value but after 40 years it had fed its last bird. I looked around at the typical stores and found almost everything out there is too small unless you feed parakeets or are made to look "pretty" in a flower garden with no practical purpose. I needed a feeder for high use since I go thru 40-50 lbs of seed a month. I needed one that was sturdy since my high flying squirrels manage to get on it, regardless of using a baffle. (I tried moving it to the middle of the yard and it resulted in target practice for the local hawks...so moved it back by the trees and made the squirrels happy too.) This feeder is sturdy, practical, easy to fill and drains well. I have noticed with this feeder there is less seed ending up on the ground, making the doves and turkeys a little less happy....but hey, they can go eat the neighbor's bird seed.

WELL BUILT TO LAST A LONG TIME
I am so glad I ordered this bird feeder. It seems huge, but once mounted on a 4x4, it is just right. It holds a massive amount of seed and I don't care if squirrels get on it. I did order the mounting bracket Woodlink 7503 Universal Mounting Bracket as suggested by another reviewer and I am so glad I did. I didn't expect the feeder to be as heavy as it is. We sealed it with Thompson's Wood Seal and once on top of the 4x4, we put in one screw, adjusted the view, and then added the screws when it was turned to the view we liked. It worked out perfectly. The mount is on the side of the 4x4 and the screws go up into the feeder, hence the ability to turn it. Great suggestion, OP, thank you!
