Fit as intended, ankle socks. My boys wear a lot of shorts, even in fall....so ankle socks are a must. They are durable and have lasted 6 months and going. My only ding is I wish they were all the same color. My boys don't always grab the match and wear mismatch socks. After your kiddo grows over the toddler sizes, it becomes challenging to figure out from the size charts offered on these product listing. It would be helpful if it were acknowledged children's shoe sizes "start over" when they graduate from pre-school sizes to youth sizes, to adult sizes.Anyway, my son will be 6 years old next month.He wears a size 13.5 child to size 1 youth (going off Nike shoe sizes here).If he were any smaller these would be too big.The packaging says for shoe size 9 - 2.5. IMO there is no way this sock would be appropriate for a toddler wearing a size 9C, considering a 6 yr old wearing a 1Y, just fits into them.Anyway, they're very soft and cushioned. The heel is where it is supposed to be, and they are at his ankle described per the packaging.I always try and buy multiple packs of the same socks so I am not trying to find the correct mate to a million dif. colored socks. Unfortunately, these do have some coloring instead of being a solid color, but I knew that going in. I posted a photo below showing the size in ratio to my hand and the coloring variations used.One tip, make sure you take the time to cut the plastic tab holding the socks to the packaging, it is very tight!. I ripped a hole in one sock just by popping tags like I normally would.
