This is categorized as a treatment, but then the instructions are to use it as a pre-wash. How does this compare then to the other pre-wash product?

It is definitely a treatment that just like Olaplex (if you have ever tried it needs to be washed out with shampoo afterwards). I myself shampoo my hair 1st so that my hair is clean enough to get the full benefits of this product and then rinse with water and then deep condition. I found that my 4a type hair felt too stripped if shampoo it again afterwards. After a year of using this my hair is thriving :)

Can I keep this overnight on almost dry hair?

No. Best just one hour before washing your hair.

Is this supposed to arrive unsealed, no bag etc? 59ml feels half empty.

No definitely not return it for a new one

Should there be a seal on the bottle as mine arrived without one ?

The product should come in a small plastic sealed baggy, not the resealable kind. And when you remove the lid of the product there will be the product. But no plastic seal in between the cap and product. I was also taken back at this. But believe me this is a genuine product
