V60's are already so well known so I won't get into that, but the switch opens up new possibilities of immersion or hybrid brews. It seems great for various skill levels, from beginners to experts. For pourover beginners like me (though I come from the high-precision rabbit hole of espresso), immersion brews seem more forgiving. And having discussed with those who are much more experienced, immersion and hybrid brewing are nice tools to add for your arsenal. The switch itself is easy enough to use and clean. I'd just be a bit more careful when cleaning it, as I have read about people accidentally breaking the mechanism. The carafe does the job, but that can be the first area to upgrade. Overall, this is essentially a V60 with the extra capability of stopping flow when desired. That alone opens up a world of possibilities while at minimum still being a perfectly fine V60 dripper.

**Q: Is this the Hario Switch?**
A: Yes this is the Hario Switch coffee dripper.

**Q: The filters that come with the switch are much bigger than the 03 filter replacements.. where do i find the filters that came with the switch?**
A: The filters I use are the Hario-branded "02" size.  When fully seated, they stick up above the rim of the glass funnel by about a half inch (~1 cm).  Hope this helps.

**Q: Where is this product made?**
A: This product is made in Japan

**Q: How much coffe does it make?**
A: Depends on your recipe. The maximum water it can hold at the top is around 250ml but you can open the switch for the water to flow down. I regularly make 350ml cups without problem

I already had two pour over sets made in Japan - one ceramic, and one copper. I no longer use those, and just use this one. The results are faster and easier. I don't bother with the slow pour over process, and careful timing, and all the waiting. This is so much more practical. And its good quality. The glass and silicone have a nice heft to them, and don't seem too fragile. My only slightly complaint is that the filters don't fit super well and tend to fall over a bit - compared to the pour over systems with fluted filters which are more stable. I have to hold this filter open with one hand to pour the ground coffee in, and make sure its set in a stable way.
