Review: Very Well Designed and Good Quality Ab Mat. - I bought this particular Ab Mat because it was made correctly, as opposed to the others available on desertcart at the time. I needed an Ab Mat to make Crunches more comfortable and to improve my form - which would hopefully allow me to develop my abs better (NB: sit-ups mainly develop the hip flexors). Each end of the Ab Mat is gradually sloped and forms a different angle (30 & 45 degrees), allowing for varying amounts of spinal extension when lying horizontally on it. There's also a flat piece of mat connected to the 45 degree end which stops the Ab Mat from moving while exercising - I found this to be essential as the Ab Mat itself (if folded up) doesn't grip wood flooring (it may be okay on carpet?). The density of the Ab Mat provides ample support while exercising and isn't uncomfortably hard, even if used extensively it should last quite a long time. Despite the extra cost of the Ab Mat compared to others, in my opinion its design and quality makes it well worth it.

**Q: Does this come with a start up/instruction manual?**
A: There are instructions on back, but no manual as such.

**Q: My abs are a mess!! 3x emergency c sections over the past 12 years. I dont expect miracles, but with no/little stomach strengh will this help? Thanks**
A: It is excellent for supporting your back, sit on the floor and place the edge of the board tight a your back, bend your legs, so that your feet are touching together in front of you, then lie back, stretch your arms above your head and then using the back and curve of the board, raise yourself up and touch your toes with your arms and gently lie back down again. Repeat and build up on a daily basis.

**Q: I went to a crossfit taster session and used an ab mat. is this up to crossfit standard? they used them back to front?**
A: Yes, I do crossfit and this if ideal for handstand push ups.
We don't do sit ups but I do at home, good to engage all the appropriate muscles during sit ups. I use high end close with a long slope at the back.
