This fixes it, at least for our implements that had clearance problems (several of them). OTOH, even with the extra cost of this hook, HF's quick hitch is still a great deal on a decent hitch. I'd recommend buying the hitch and then, if you have the clearance problem and want to fix it without doing any grinding/cutting on the supplied top hook, order this. It installed very easily. KEEP IN MIND - this will not solve the "out of category spec" problem where there is no way for any hook to grab the top connection on the implement. That requires the other quick hitch adapter, which is the plates/shackle type. This fixes the clearance problem where the top connection of the implement is accessible to a hook but won't quite fit into the HF-supplied top hook. I used existing bolts since I was replacing an existing hook. **Q: Will it fit the County Line quick hitch?** A: Not without modification. The bolt holes are not far enough away from the hook for County Line QH. I had to weld on an extra piece of metal bar for ix the issue.
