I was replacing an original very old American Standard black rubber disk, so in addition to the "ghost flush" problem, I was always getting black marks appearing on the inside of the toilet bowl in a very short time after it was cleaned. The source of these black marks was the decomposed black rubber disk, and they are gone now too. Hopefully this red rubber disc will hold up better overall than the black rubber. The price was right. At $3.19 it was cheaper than any of the other alternatives on Amazon, but I figured since it had the Fluidmaster name, it would have to be decent. I might have gone with an actual American Standard disk, but it would have been the black rubber, and it only came in the snap-in style. I needed the screw-in adapter, and this Fluidmaster works for both snap-in or screw-in applications. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good, after it self adjusted. *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2021* This product took a little over 2 weeks to finally set in place and not drip anymore. At first I thought it was installed too tight, then not tight enough, until I left it just snug and over the course of just over 2 weeks the slow drip that it had went away on its own.
