It fired right up and gets red hot on high setting with in seconds. The burners have discolored a bit but I guess that’s just from use, it cleans up well. The top is solid with no places for dirt to collect. The touch controls work flawlessly giving precise control of heat. Has a timer function and also a locking function to prevent accidental operation. I had a small problem with the unit and the people at Kitchen and Home were extremely responsive in resolving it. I wired it up to a 30 amp 240 volt dedicated circuit and set it into a cutout in the counter. It also has rubber feet so you could just set it on the counter top.
