Much easier to steer with the peddles and not a joystick like wheelchairs have. It does not go in and out of the house very well because it is quite low to the ground. If we would have know this before purchasing we might have looked at other alternatives. We got a lightweight wheelchair for going out of the house to use and we leave the scooter at home.
