Two liquids are mixed together and brushed onto any 3D print. Coating self-levels and wets out uniformly without leaving Brush strokes. Working time is 10 minutes and cure time is about 4 hours (depending on mass and temperature). xtc-3d cures to a hard, impact resistant coating that can be sanded, primed and painted. Adding colors and metal effects is easy. But first, the actual product from Smooth-On is good. Very little of this product is needed, so it is difficult to accurately measure out small amounts per application. The included little measuring container is a bit useless.This appears to be just the standard Smooth-On product put into a Filabot box with a sticker slapped on it and sold for an additional $9. My kit was the stock kit... NO extra brushes, measuring cups, or mixers. Just one of each. It didn't look like the photo or the written description, which is an Amazon cardinal sin. Both my bottles were about 1/3 empty and the B bottle smooshed considerably to boot, so I appear to have less product than what I paid for? If I had an accurate scale, I suppose I could confirm.So, do yourself a favor and buy the regular, authentic kit for significantly cheaper and order extra sponge brushed separately (you can get 25 for about $5.) The 'A' part is really thick and hard to measure out, so you might need to get creative and perhaps order some plastic syringes to measure with. I'd also recommend getting some surgical gloves... if you are holding the piece and trying to paint it with this stuff, you will get it on your fingers which the instructions highly recommend that you avoid any contact with the un-cured product. Also think in advance about how you are going to let these cure, and be careful not to drip this stuff around if you are in a kitchen or bathroom.... it's epoxy and once set it is going to be hard as nails.Pros: - Smooth-on product its self is great!Cons:- This Filabot repackaged version didn't have the extra accessories as shown/described.- Seemed to be short on product (?)- $9 more expensive than other 'brands' that sell the same exact Smooth-On kit I received.If I had bought it from a local hobby shop, I'd definitely drive back and return it.
