My 14 year old daughter loved it from the start, she sat down and worked through two chapters in one go, humming happily as she went. (And tunelessly, but I suppose I cannot blame the book for that). I got this to help with GCSE, looking for a book that would cover (roughly) the same topics but in a different way, and with different examples, to the school - and it is hitting that need perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for GCSE help - and I found it helped with the parts I was unsure about as well. I was recommended this by a friend and as soon as he started using it he didn't look back. I need to say that my son was not a very confident maths student and we were aiming for a C pass. He found the introductions to each topic really helpful and felt the style was completely unthreatening. He achieved an A* which we would never have expected! There are some mistakes in the textbook but it actually turned out quite positive for us as my son would say 'I'm sure this is right!' and felt very proud when he turned out to be correct.
