Unfortunately my pump vault which is below the water level, started to flood with heavy rains. So I was forced to reconfigure the plumbing above ground and use a self priming pump. Just calculated an inflation-adjusted price and 480 delivered then (2002, sans sales tax) vs 780 delivered this year -- that's actually exactly the same (x1.65). Difference is the new model includes the two unions, is less heavy (volute is different); motor appears the same. OK, very good.
