First is the sensor close to the area the spot of the bulb is heating, if so ,as in my case your bulb is underpowered for the application and needs to be upgraded to a higher wattage. If the bulb is dimming at 32° then you either have it set wrong or it is faulty If I have assumed wrong or misread the question please disregard this answer. I accept no liability for the health of your animal should you take any notice of what I have suggested. **Q: for some reason the second plug makes my uvb flicker a lot and the first plug what's for heating allows the basking temp to go 5° more than it should?** A: The flicking could be to do with the heat lamp stealing all the energy so the uvb could be getting less energy than it should. I had this problem before so now I have one light on one extension and another for the other. The temp rise is normal and will lower it's self automatically. Same with if it goes 5 degrees lower it will then heat itself back up. It took me a while to work it all out but now it does everything itself.
