If used over a gloss coating on a wood dollhouse, will the natural wood show through or does it simply "rough up" the coating, leaving the wood cloudy

My understanding, and why I used this product was to "rough up", preparing the surface for painting. .....and it worked perfectly for me. Painted kitchen cabinets.

I used a jasco liquid sander. i just tried it on a small piece and it feels sticky after about 5 min. does this product make it sticky?

I want to say that it probably just is accumulation of the grime that has accumulated on the surface. I have some 20-year-old oak cabinets that are still in great shape and it did nothing to it except a good cleaning. Lots of people on here said it worked. Condition and age of your cabinets probably factor into this equation.

Can I use this product then use a stain?

Not a traditional stain. You can use a gel stain, but I still sanded lightly in between. This product does a great job getting the shine off and cleaning it all in one.
