Tape is thinner, very sticky, better paper-backing release.
They have a new split on the back of the peel-off side, which aids in removing from the tape side. I was always mucking up the corners trying to bend the tape free. Only thing is now its super thin, the tape/sticky side, which I'm assuming is another cost cut or way for me to seem "greener" in my purchase, even so it sticks well! Just very easy to now get it stuck, if you're not careful, it's fragile to bends & sticking elsewhere. Four stars due to extra-thin tape, that doesn't look as good as previous thicker tape, which also has tendency to crinkle on itself. Sticky as ever though!

Works great in my CAsio KL-100
When my 3+ years old Casio KL-100 ran out of label cartridges and I was unable to find any retailer stocking replacement tapes in my state, I thought that it was the end of life for the label maker much to my disappointment and annoyance. I put the machine aside in the cupboard and there it layed, unused for over 2 years until I chanced upon the Amazon website one day and found that not only did Amazon ranged Casio replacement label cartridges suitable for the KL-100 model that has long since been discontinued in stores but an alternate brand - Absonic - as well which are lower in cost than the original genuine Japanese Casio brand. I took a chance and bought the Made in China Absonic 4-pack to try. When I received the tapes, I was pleased when the product fitted into the KL-100 cartridge well exactly and precisely. Even more was when I powered the KL-100 which has laid dormant for so many years and ran it to print out the first label in as many years - and it did so with perfection. I am extremely satisfied with the Absonic label and its quality. So, yes, I will not only be re-ordering more of the "Black on White" in the future but also the other varieties that Absonic has - black on clear, white on clear, red on white (great for First Aid items), green on white, etc - and at reasonable prices as well which make them more affordable.
