When I think of CERAMIC, I think of something like a ceramic knife-- but obviously, that would be way too hard to be this comb-- because it bends, sort of like a normal plastic comb does, but without quite as much flexibility, like the material IS indeed TOUGHer than your normal plastic. Obviously, if the comb can take the temperatures it claims, it IS tougher than your average plastic. But alas, these are likely to be questions that remain permanently and enduringly unanswered-- unless the manufacturer wants to weigh in and provide some information. In the meantime, I'ma keep using this awesome comb on the little hair that I have left on my skull (which is on my face). I like it very much.
