The internals are identical. What makes it really work for me is the accompanying software that you can download for free from roland. This has a lot of dials on screen meaning you dont have to menu-dive which is the main drawback of the tr6s. Best of all is the bar chart that controls velocity, delay, lfo and several other things. You can drag your mouse across the bar chart to make lots of settings in two seconds. Extremely useful. The builtin sounds are extensive and include a few world percussion instruments. The ACB feature is interesting because you can get inside the sound using zencore, in addition to standard fx on the outside such as reverb, delay etc. The weak point is the small memory for samples. You need to read the specifications to see whether or not it will be suitable for you. Overall highly recommended and a lot of fun.
