The color will fade if left in direct light over time. For archival, light fast color you need something pigment based like watercolor, oil or acrylic paints. **Q: I already have the markers. I chose Chameleon and I am completely satisfied with every aspect of this product. The markers fit my average-sized female hands and they are well-balanced and comfortable to hold and use. I had no trouble opening the toner tube or removing the covers on the marker tips. The color-coded tops make it easy to see what color and color family is in each marker. There is slight bleed-through on #80 Neenah Solar White but not anything that transferred to the underlying paper. The "Baby Blue" marker that others reported as being empty seemed fine in the set I received -- it closely matched the color top on the pen.
