Specifically exhaust/muffler heat?** A: I used to heat to remove the epoxy when it didn't hold as well as I had hoped. I don't think this would work with a muffler. **Q: What material would be best to mix this on?** A: I use piece of cardboard. It works, though it’s a pain mixing it. Make sure u mix it well. **Q: will this fill pinholes in welding? I am looking for a product that will easily fill the little pinholes and look (and react) a lot like the steel** A: Great question. I think it could fill the pinholes, but am unsure if it will look like the steel. You may try painting over with matched color. **Q: Can it be used for a/c aluminum coils repair with 410A refrigerant?** A: No, It really doesn't work ona lot of items. Used it to bond a grade five bolt head in a tough spot with limited space. Just make sure to clean the area well, I used acetone, and this Steel Weld will do it's job. Quick set up time, so just be aware you will only have a few minutes to work with it until it begins to harden. I held my thumb on the head for five minutes and the head was appeared to be bonded quite strongly. The cap is great too, as once you snap it off, flip over to close the tube so the epoxy does not dry out. Good stuff.
