The cable appears to be well constructed. I tested it in the shop so am confident that it will work in the studio.

It works
Since we’re just talking about a cable here, let me get right to the point. In my application it works. I use this to control a PTZ camera with my controller. And the cable works wonderfully. If you’re reading this review to find out if it’s made of a high-quality rubber or it’s flimsy or something like that, I couldn’t tell you because it feels like a normal cable to me. It’s not overly thick so I was able to run it just fine and I have not seen any signal loss or any issues with it. I plugged it in and it worked. Nothing significant to report.

Works perfect, controls my camera nicely. Plug and play. I recommend using VISCA cameras with a real serial port and not a USB to Serial converter as they add lag.

Great Affordable RS232 Cable
I needed a RS232 to USB cable for my PTZ camera to a newly purchased joystick PTZ camera controller. The Wirenest cable worked perfectly and had the right length. The price was right too!
