No. We received 3 of the same color which were college ruled and 3 that were wide ruled.

Is the spiral wide? Does it leave enough space in a binder to turn pages?

No, the spiral is not that wide. You will need a binder greater than 1inch in order to have space to for the notebook, and other supplies you plan to keep in the binder.

Do these notebooks come with holes for a binder? The photos show both kinds of notebooks - some with and sons without.

Yes they have the holes for a binder, along with two convenient pockets inside to hold small notecards or and other loose ends you need together.
