I have no idea. They are senior rabbits, and only have supplemental alfalfa to help them maintain their weight (as recommended by their vet), and not so much that they don't want to eat their regular hay, so she only has a few of these a day, but she really enjoys them. I like that it doesn't have anything else added to them. I was concerned about them being too hard for my 7 & 9 year old bunnies, as another review mentioned, but the batch I received is not too hard at all. They are really easy for me to break to whatever length I choose with just my weak fingers. They are on par with the softness of all other pellets that we've tried. The bunnos have no trouble chewing them. They are a super bright green color and do turn her poop kind of bright green as well, which makes it pretty easy to tell which are hers and which are her boyfriends. It's only been a couple weeks but so far, so good! I guess the moral of the story is you really just can't ever tell if your pet will like something until you try it. Hope this helps! I know some out there may tell me to feed the rabbits but they are already eating my garden so aren't going to be hungry for these...plus I don't need to bring any more to my garden.
