I used 3 blobs of chestnut and 1 blob of gold to tie in with my ESalon colour. I believe there are some extra things you can mix in but I didn’t understand what they did, so I just bought 2 colours. I used gloves and applied it as a conditioner in the shower. I left it on for about 10 - 15 minutes and rinsed it out. It was hefty enough to stain my forehead (I used waterproof eye makeup remover on it) but it absolutely did not go on to my roots. It enhanced the contrast line, so have root touch up product ready for a complete look. Compared to the similar Wella product I have used, it was a better conditioner. It also gave a stronger colour result. The Wella does lightly tint my roots sometimes but the overall colour only lasts a few washes. The Revlon claims to last up to 8 washes but we will see. My hair is very damaged at the bottom and these products help to tame it a little. I now only dye my hair at the roots, so these products are very useful for a refresh. I have applied Color Wow brown root powder today (washed the Revlon in yesterday) and my hair looks coherent.
