Expensive product but works perfectly, as advertised. The battery life is about 2 cups for me but appears to charge quickly. I got white as the black version was not available at the time. Stains quite easily so takes a little more to wash than simply rinse and repeat.

I bought the mug to sit on my desk at work as I am frequently distracted and when I eventually remember I have made a coffee it is cold. The mug works well keeping the drink warm. It keeps a constant 62.5 degrees. It will not maintain anything any warmer. I clean the cup between drinks but now find it is badly stained. Assume it is due to coffee sitting in it longer than normal, but that is what it is designed for. I have tried all sorts to remove the stains, it is now looking rather sad and scruffy on my desk. I would not recommend and would not purchase a replacement. I do not take sugar and have never stirred the cup. I put coffee in straight from coffee machine. UPDATE- Cup is in such a bad condition it can no longer be used. The inner coating is all peeling off. A really bad design. I strongly recommend you avoid this product. A lot of money for 14 months use.

I feel a little bad that I only give this 4 stars, as I'm currently sipping a one hour old coffee that is held at the perfect drinking temperature. I think the problem is that Ember has set a new bar for itself, where there is a world of possibilities for improvement, but all would probably raise the price even higher. I wish the app stayed connected better, but I'm buying a second charging coaster(also overpriced, but I've come this far...) so I won't feel the need to keep an eye on the battery level as I can keep it on a charger in the kitchen and the living room. My biggest 1st world peeve is probably shared by 10% of us, and annoys me everytime I go to pick it up. The indicator light is on the back of the cup!!! I'm left handed.

UPDATE Now extremely pleased, everything's working faultlessly and really enjoying coffee at my new favourite of 58.5 °C! 😊 Original review: Initially very disappointed. Coffee 3hrs to charge and went cold after 50 minutes when I still had about 1/5 of a mug to drink. I found two work arounds which mainly solved issues. 1. Preheat ember with hot water and also ensure coffee is 2 to 3 °C above desired temperature. This allowed the coffee to stay hot untill the last drop 86 minutes later with 6% charge remaining 😊 2. The Bluetooth is infuriatingly terrible and I hope that can be improved during updates. Luckily the work -around suggested by another user works. You need to delete Ember from your phones Bluetooth then add it via phone,not the app. Finally ensure Bluetooth is still enabled on the mug then open the app. Works fully then 😊 I would have given Just 4 stars due to the inconvenience BUT I so thoroughly enjoy hot coffee and not having to go put it in the microwave every 10 minutes So if: You accept the very high price, can live with a longer Bluetooth install each time and love hot coffee then reluctantly highly recommended. Footnotes for developer: Sorting Bluetooth is a priority especially if this can be improved by an upgrade. Ember 3 needs to have a charge time of about 1 hour and designed to keep coffee hot for at least 90 minutes, 100 would be great 😊😊😊

When it works, it works brilliantly. Mug itself has a good build quality and feels solid. Keeps your drink hot without heating the whole mug. Prone to dropped connections and shenanigans with the app which makes it difficult to maintain set temperatures however, I often rely on the default warming setting. For the price, I would expect everything to work a bit smoother.

Absolutely loving this mug. High quality and let’s me enjoy a cup of tea or coffee over the span on 2 hours instead of trying to chug it down in 15 minutes before it gets too cold. What I’d love to see in future editions is a silicone or wooden teaspoon provided in the box. Using a metal teaspoon and hearing it clink & clank while swirling literally hurts me to my core and I’m sure it’s not good for the mug in the long run… I’ve seen reviews of users whose mugs have lost the enamel coating and I’m wondering if a metal spoon is the cause. I’ll be searching high and low for a good spoon which will be exclusively used for this mug to ensure it’s extended use and prevent me from loosing my mind :D.

Drinks in this and the matching flask which we purchased would be better off in a normal mug or flask as the temperature would remain higher than in these useless products. Cup is cheap and stains immediately upon use and drink cool down quicker than in a normal cup. The app is a waste of time and I have been throughly disappointed in this.

Reading the reviews and seeing the comments about staining or the coating coming off/being damaged made me cautious about spending this much on a product that may not last long. After using it for a couple months now, I only drink tea in it and I have been following the advice in the instruction manual. I don't use metal cutlery to avoid damaging the surface, I wash the mug as soon as I have finished drinking. However, it seems eventually it'll stain naturally from the way it's being used. I normally utilise the entire 2 hour battery life without the charging plate when finishing a cup of tea with my working from home lifestyle.

Morgens wird Kaffee getrunken. Zunächst ist er zu heiß und dann wird er aber schnell kalt. Der letzte Schluck ist meistens kalt. Mit dieser Tasse wird das Kaffetrinken am Morgen zum Genuss. Der letzte Tropfen bleibt warm. Die individuelle Lieblingstemperatur lässt sich einstellen. Die Tasse ist eine Innovation. Natürlich entsprechend ist der Preis.

Review nueva después de haber devuelto la taza: uno de los dos pines de la base se ha quedado hundido, roto, no sé y me de igual. El vendedor ni se ha dignado en proponer una solución como enviarme una nueva base, le estuve esperando días y ni me ha contestado. He pagado 26 euros para devolver la taza y supuestamente se me devolverá 15 EUR. Para no hablar de todo el tiempo perdido. NO LA RECOMIENDO EN ABSOLUTO. BASURILLA MODERNA. Da igual las veces que borras y vuelves a añadir la taza en la app, al poco tiempo, con el mvl al lado, dejara de estar conectada a tu mvl/app y no habrá forma, ninguna, absolutamente ninguna forma, de reconectar la taza sin tener que borrarla y volver a conectarla. Esto occurre 5-10 veces al día, o sea si te tomas tu café en 1h, como yo, tengo que borrar y volver a conectar la taza 2-3x. Porqué? Ni idea! Tengo un Pixel 8 Pro, Android 15, y las reseñas de la app en Google Play hablan mucho, la app es una auténtica basura. Después de rajar tando, habrá que proponer una solución no? Pues la hay, conecta una vez la taza a tu telf y elige una temp. Luego por suerte, si la app no encuentra más tu taza, la temp se queda guardada en la taza. En la primera ver no era así y por eso la devolví, pq fallaba igual, pero por lo menos en esta segunda vers no hay que sufrir. Yo uno ya he desinstalado la app, no la necesito, la taza se conecta automaticament y empieza a calentar o mantener la tmp. Con eso me vale.

An sich ist die Idee und auch die Ausführung klasse, wenn die Tasse korrekt funktioniert werden Getränke auch über lange Zeit auf genau der gewünschten Temperatur gehalten, je nach Wunsch entweder mit aktiver Stromversorgung oder auch per Akku in der Tasse selbst. ABER: Leider scheint die aktuelle Software dafür zu Sorgen, dass man die Tasse einmalig mit der zugehörigen App verbinden kann (dann funktioniert auch alles), bei der zweiten Nutzung die Verbindung aber nicht wieder klappt und man effektiv neu pairen muss. Nachdem damit effektiv jedes Getränk dazu führt, dass man wieder bei 0 anfängt, dauert das Ganze doch unschön lange und ist bei der Preisklasse hier einfach nicht akzeptabel. Ember selbst kennt das Problem und führt dieses sogar in einem Hilfetext auf, scheint aber auch nach mehreren Monaten mit diesem Zustand keine Lösung hin zu bekommen, außer dem Hinweis, dass man es ja neu Pairen kann. Insofern mit der derzeitigen Software ganz klare Negativbewertung, nicht zuletzt auch durch den scheinbaren Unwillen das Problem an sich zu beheben.
