Review: Must have for Festool plunge saw! - Festool, the best. I just got this and have been using steadily for the past week building plywood cabinets. I have the 80" as well but too cumbersome for short cuts, so got the shorter one for smaller pieces - along with the coupler that allows longer cuts by joining the two. Easy to use, requires a little bit of play to determine exactly where the final cut would be so you can line up properly. I also use a couple of dewalt clamps that fit in the rail track to secure it to the workpiece. Festoon seems as well but the dealt are cheaper and work very well. Be careful when taking the clamp off as the rail is light enough that if the piece is skinnier than the rail it can flip and land on the floor. The aluminum is fragile so you can end up with a slightly bent corner when it hits a hard floor. I use this rail with the Festool plunge saw, and get a straight accurate cut each time. In addition to cutting plywood I used it to cut some old, thick (approx 2 1/2") stringers I had around. At 16' they were hampering my floor space in the workshop. Cut easily and now I think I will use the two rails together to trim the boards so I can join them - for a desktop or even a workbench. The rails allow you to take off the slightest amount easily and accurately.

**Q: Does it work with dewalt dws520k saw?**
A: I do not think it will, but not positive.  Dewalt has their own guide rail system which will probably work better for you.

**Q: Do these rails come with clamps?**
A: They do not come with clamps. I got mine without the clamps, then a week later bought the clamps. (Expensive but worth it ) I rip 8 ft. sheets of plywood and the clamps make it easier.

**Q: Does this guide rail come with the connectors needed to attach to another rail to cut a full 8' sheet?**
A: No it does not, you'll need 2x Festool #482107 or TSO Products makes a great connector Set available here: https://www.ustoolandfastener.com/tso-grc-12-connector-guide-rail-61-415/

**Q: Can I use this with a Makita cordless router?**
A: This is using 2 different systems and might have safety issues I only have the festoon guide and not the makiita so I can’t comparison the 2

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tamaño ideal para cortes pequeños

Si tienes una sierra de incisión es indispensable que tengas tres reglas de corte: la larga de 3m, la mediana de 1.4m y la pequeña de 80cm. Lo anterior en virtud de que los cortes que se requieren son muy variados, a veces a lo largo de todo un panel, en otras ocasiones la mitad del panel y en otras sólo una pequeña pieza. De ahí que decidí comprar la regla de 80cm de Festool porque facilita demasiado el corte sobre todo cuando estás fuera del taller y no cuentas con tu mesa de trabajo, ya que con la regla mediana hacer cortes pequeños siempre implica estar balanceando correctamente la regla y, en ocasiones, afecta un poco la precisión del corte. La regla de Festool es compatible con otras sierras de incisión como Makita, Dewalt y Triton que son las que he podido probar. Asimismo, es compatible con prácticamente cualquier marca de prensas para sujetarla. Esto es importante porque generalmente una prensa Dewalt cuesta la mitad que una Festool. El único "pero" que le pongo a la regla es que no trae las perforaciones a un costado que sirven para trabajar con el sistema Hole Drilling de Festool, que las reglas más grandes sí traen.
