Review: Give these a shot! - I tried a number of products and this is what ultimately solved my sesamoiditis I had gotten in both feet. My podiatrist basically said it’s not going to go away unless you get custom insoles and over corrective shoes. So what did I do instead? I bought 10$ dancer pads and a pair of non supportive Altra shoes, my feet haven’t been this healthy in at least 6 months. I work in grocery and on my feet all day long on hard concrete so the sesamoid pain was affecting me every day to where I was limping and almost ready to give up hope. Being an avid hiker this was really tough for me. These pads provided instant relief to where I could get through my shift without limping! But the struggle wasn’t over yet. I obviously could still feel the pain. You have to be dedicated to these. I wore them 80% of the time(mostly at work) for about 3 months and I’m now not needing to wear these and have little to no pain. I HIGHLY recommend trying these out, for only 10$ it’s worth a shot. I’m still going to keep a pair in my backpack just in case as these helped me a ton. I’m now a huge barefoot style shoe advocate. Insoles and supportive shoes are not always the answer, actually quite rarely. Also I recommend trying to strengthen the calf muscles, they impact your feet a lot, if they are weak it puts a lot more strain on the tendons and muscles in your feet which includes the tendon that runs through your sesamoids. Only issue with the product is the adhesive wears out after about 3 weeks, if you wear socks it will usually keep them in place though. Clean them off each night with water. I used 3 pair in 3 months. I’m so thankful I found these!
Review: Great for active people, Have great durability - I've had these for months now and I really can't complain much about them. They have much better durability than I was expecting. I'm very active. I do competitive ballroom latin so I developed metarsalgia from so much practice. These stick to your foot and are extremely secure, they can require some peeling off at the end of the day but they will stay put during a long run or almost anything else you can throw at them. They wear a little along the edges over time but I haven't noticed any change in performance. To clean just run them under warm water and let them dry. I noticed one of the "one star" reviews complained about how hard they were. I have a pair of slip on pads that I use and I think they were expecting something along those lines. These are more firm but they still provide really all the pressure distribution you need, squishier ones would really not work well for anyone looking to use for during vigorous activities. Other "one star" reviews were critical of the stickiness. If your feet are not completely dry, they do not stick well. If I put them on after a shower I have to really dry the bottoms of my feet before trying to apply them.If you naturally have sweaty feet, I could definitely see having a problem with application.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this for one pair or two pairs? (Not sure what the two refers to- two pads or two pairs)**
A: As you’ll see from another question answered by the company, this is a pair fornthe right and left foot. I find this very confusing. Why are you selling a pair for the left foot, which is in truth a single pad for the left foot?

**Q: Simple question, but does this product include a pad for both the left and right foot?**
A: Yes, for left and right. :)

**Q: I wear size 6-6.5 in us women. will these fit?**
A: I wear a size 6 and they fit me just fine!

**Q: Should they be washed with just water? detergent? dishing washing liquid? woolite? bar soap? and they will still stick? thanks!**
A: I would use warm water and sometimes dish washing liquid or hand soap if they got extra dirty. After washing them, I let them air dry and I've never had a problem with them sticking after washing them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely better than nothing, and feel better as one becomes accustomed to them.
*by A***M on July 31, 2015*

UPDATE: Editing my earlier review, to say that, having now had extended use of the three different kinds of pads I bought quite awhile ago (as well as a couple of other products bought elsewhere), I find these PediFix Dancer's Pads to be the best. They are simply more comfortable (especially after you use them awhile, and become more accustomed to the feeling of having them stuck to the bottom of your foot), and they stay securely affixed much more successfully than the other kinds, mostly staying in place, even when I wear them with bare feet, around the house. Also, since my issue is primarily with my left foot, I appreciate that, if necessary, I can use the right-footed pad on my left foot, by changing the positioning. It's not ideal, but a workable solution, when the left-foot pad is not available. The other two brands I bought here (listed below) are slightly thicker, which means actually less comfortable, because there's too much distance between the outside surface of the pad and the surface of my skin. Also, the edges of those are too acute, or pronounced, whereas the PediFix pads kind of gently slope at the edges, making the pad more like a part of ones foot. So, that's my update to the original review, below. Having searched in stores for something like these (I didn't know if they even existed), I finally thought to search here, and bought three different brands of the same kind of product. Besides these, I got Dr. Jills Gel Ball of Foot Cushions (Self-Sticking and Re-Usable) and Dancers Professional Gel Foot Pad (Set, left/right) . Having used all three since getting them in May, I'm grateful for them all. I'm still not sure which, if any brand is a favorite *(see above edit; these are the best). I like these a lot; they may be slightly less cushioning than the Dr. Jills, but they also take up a bit less space, so can be worn in some shoes that are too tight with the Dr. Jills ones. All in all, if you're having pain with the ball of the foot, I recommend these as well as *(but more than) those other two brands.
