With this tool, there is not harsh punching mechanism, you just squeeze down nice and smooth. The wires "punch" down perfectly every time, and the wires clip off perfectly, so the cap just slips right now. It's built really nice, feels like it will last a long time. It's a bit pricey, but, if you're getting into the ecosystem, and it's a good ecosystem to have in your drawers, it is definitely worth having! The tool will not fit other brands of jacks.
