Like the small size and multiple functions. Accurate DC amp clamp, which for those complaining in reviews, simply has to be oriented and zeroed each time near its point of measurement due to stray magnetic fields.

I have used many clamp on multi-meters over the years. Most have a limit of .1ampsDC. But this one goes down to 1maDC. Now the unit I bought had problems in that the values from a precision supply and precision resistor did not give close to the same value measured from the positive current lead and the negative current lead. The Bside customer service was the first time I have seen help come immediately and they were genuinely interested in solving the problem. They immediately offered to replace the unit. Features: a clamp on multi-meter with HOLD and backlight and auto-ranging is very hard to find. And for the price, it is a knock out. I would say that any DC current measurements below 100ma are going to be hard to verify and repeat. This is also true for my expensive meters I use for my RC planes and helicopters while measuring in circuit battery results. The display is a little dark when used in the shadows. I always carry an LED light to fill in. The AC volts and current are spot on. The DC amps and ohms with cables are also spot on and match the 2.5%+5 count spec. Bottom line: a very cost effective meter if you stay away from the limits of DC clamp on measurements.

It works good on car voltage checking amps with the clamp.

Test lead insulation barrel at plug needed trimming for correct mechanical tolerance to allow stable connection / readings. Controls not intuitive, keep instruction book handy. I will try to edit this review as this meter gets used, for now it is good.
