You just want the exact tool that came with the TV. I picked up this genuine OEM Samsung BN59-01199F replacement, and it functions identically to the unit that failed. Here is why it’s worth sticking with the genuine part: Zero Setup Required: Pop in the batteries, point it at the screen, and you’re operational. No syncing, no pairing codes, and no frustration. Exact Factory Layout: Appearance is same as original. All the buttons are right where your thumb expects them to be—including direct access to menu controls, source switching, and playback options. No relearning button layouts or sacrificing original TV menu functions. There is no backlight on this model. Solid Tactile Feel: The button response is sharp and tactile, matching the original build quality. The casing is durable enough to take a drop off the end table without popping open or losing connection. Reliable Signal: The IR transmitter has strong range and a wide angle, so you don't have to point it dead-center at the receiver just to change the channel or adjust the volume. It does the job perfectly with zero fuss. If your original Samsung remote bit the dust and you want a clean, instant drop-in replacement, this is the exact part you need. Recommended!
