I hand stitch flour sack dish towels, I wanted something for the hems to fancy them up. This machine has 200 stitches & I love it. The needle threader is a bear, but with a lot of practice it can be done. I just got a magnifier & hand threaded the needle. It is a very quiet machine, easy to use & yes, I would recommend it to anyone. The plastic bobbin cover is hard to buy a replacement for. I'm still having problems finding one. The suggested ones don't fit. When you lower the foot all the way down to sew, the screw you tighten and loosen by hand to change different feet will be aprox. 1/2” above the needle plate, foot plate. A long shank will be aprox. 1” above when lowered all the way down, that’s how you can tell. Most home machines are low shank. **Q: What kind of warranty does this machine have? I am not seeing any warranty information anywhere.** A: It come with a standard 2 year manufacturers warranty and has a 30 day return. Of course Amazon provides additional warranty for a fee.
