Is this a surge protector or just a power strip? Not used to buying something without a Joules rating. Help! Need for my whole TV setup.

It is a surge protector but not a good one for sensitive computer type equipment. 540 joules basically protects life. You would need a protector over 2000 joules for things like computers, electronic equipment, basically most sensitive electronics with a circuit board. The real benefit of this device is weeding out EMI and RMI, but in all honesty you probably don’t need it unless you are in a place that is poorly wired. There is a better chance you’ll get interference over the air. Many that purchase items like these have a false sense of security.

What are it's electronic specs (i.e. clamping voltage, energy dissipation, and response time)? I'm looking for something for musical equipment

Clamping Voltage = 400V. Surge Rating = 540 joules. Response Time = n/a. (Strangely, the response time is not available on the product website. I don't know if it means that it's a problem.) I would look elsewhere. There are a lot of other surge protectors that sell for less and provide better protection. It has a normal clamping voltage but its surge rating is low. So, it's going to stop working much earlier than other surge protectors. And, it's not like this really smooths out the line noise as it filters out only 20db (which is much lower than other devices). Frankly, I don't know why people would buy this, especially at this price ($30) and why it has a high rating. I guess the unit looks sturdy and looks like a heavy duty piece of equipment but it really isn't. The company is tricking you.

what is the let through rating on this surge protector?

Electrical Rating: 15A, 1800 Watt; Voltage protection rating L-N 400V, L-G 400V, N-G 400V. Type 3 SPD. I like it because of the extra long cord!

Anyone know what amount of current will pop the breaker on this? I assume 15 amps can't seem to confirm that.

I have tested it with a 600 Watts Oster Blender and a Bosch driller at the same time, because I had to cut the power plug, for use a Neutrik NAC3FC-HC PowerCon, and it doesn't pop, or be hot, It is made to be reliable so it was made like a main power strip, I also connect it a 1600w vacuum cleaner and not a problem

Don't buy this if you are going to use it in ae

I'm very disappointed, I bought this Item from Amazon.ae, that is mean it should be 220V ..... When it arrived I bluged it into the wall and BOOOOOOM..... It turned out it works with 110V ..... this pice of information should be highlighted in the description since you sell it in a country that use 220V power source.

Excelente!!

La unidad es muy robusta y el cable es lo suficientemente largo para que no sea necesario emplear extensiones, además es muy discreta gracias al color negro tanto de la unidad como del cable lo que hace que se pierda de vista en el escenario a diferencia de los multicontactos tradicionales de colores claros o las extensiones eléctricas de colores brillantes. Filtra muy bien los ruidos aunque no hace milagros, hay lugares donde la instalación eléctrica es tan mala que es imposible eliminarlos por completo aún con acondicionadores de corriente más caros. Es una excelente opción para proteger nuestro equipo.

音響の仕事に就いている方やオーディオファンの方なら周知のことと思いますが、アナログ音響機器（アンプ・パワードモニタースピーカーなど）に一般家庭用マルチタップは厳禁です。必ずこちらのようなディストリビューターを使用してください。もし、現在一般家庭用マルチタップを使用している方、まずは壁コンセントからこちらのようなディストリビューター経由だけで電源を取ってみてください。音の激変に驚くはずです。なお、私が今回こちらを買った理由はパワードモニタースピーカーを追加導入するにおいて、6口・スイッチ付きが欲しかったということです。お値段もお手頃ですし、実際使用してみて期待どおりの音を出してくれました。

音の厚みが出た気がします。

パワードスピーカーとDACをつないで使っています。金属筐体でしっかりしているのと、スイッチがあり、使わないときは一括して無通電にできるので便利です。ケーブルが太くて長いのが人によっては困るかも。
